According To Julián Castro, ‘Trans Women’ (Also Called Men) Have The Right To Abortion

Julián Castro decided to out virtue signal his fellow candidates by saying he wants “trans women” to have access to “women’s reproductive rights” as well.

The debate road to the 2020 Democratic nomination began at 9:00 p.m. on June 26.

It’s really difficult to stand out in a field as crowded as this one. Even with fewer candidates on the debate stage.

But, instead of announcing creative policy initiatives or doing something that would actually set them aside from the rest of the candidates, the Democrats on the debate stage have taken it upon themselves to out virtue signal each other.

When asked about reproductive rights, all 10 candidates on stage agreed that they were pro-choice. They all want women to have the right to choose to have an abortion.

Instead of going in-depth about their thoughts on debated infanticide bills—which I blame on the moderator—Julián Castro decided to out virtue signal his fellow candidates by saying he wants “trans women” to have access to “women’s reproductive rights” as well.

Trans women or, as some would call them, men, cannot actually have an abortion as their bodies cannot be pregnant.

For Julián Castro to spend time on-stage saying that “trans women” or men should have the access to abortions completely misses the mark on what the majority of Democrat women actually want to hear when it comes to talking about abortion rights.

This comment paints a broader picture that Democrats are simply pandering to people who will hand them votes regardless of coming up with or implementing legislation that would actually help them.
